Bimala studied accounting in the United Kingdom at the University Tutorial College – Reading before working in an accounting role at Costco Wholesale in Reading, England. She subsequently held an accounting position in Kathmandu, Nepal before relocating to the United States and continuing to study accounting in Kentucky. Bimala graduated from the University of Kentucky in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
